In a speech on Friday the new DNC chairman, Howard Dean (of failed presidential hopes) said of his battle against the Republicans "This is a struggle of good and evil. And we're the good."

Iraqi's protest Saturdays off

Iraqis are protesting in the streets about their new day off -- Saturday. Just too Jewish for many there, who will have no part of it. They don't mind having the extra day off and will be happy to take it on Thursday. Saturday however is for the Jews they say, and therefore insulting to them.

While it's true that Shabbat falls out on Saturday, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a Jew who, if offered the option, would refuse an extra day off on Friday every week because it's a Muslim holiday. Ah - most of us barely work on Friday anyway.
