I am anti-Cindy
Lately the evening news have been predominated by one Ms. Cindy Sheehan. I have had enough of that ant-Semite freak. Here's my take on the situation.
When one signs on with the US military, whether in a time of war or peace, it is made perfectly clear that they will be called on to fight in a war if necessary. Therefore Sheehan's son chose to fight bravely and defend our country.
We have not instituted a draft to date. Therefore Sheehan's son chose to risk his life in the brave defense of our country's interests, needs, and security. For her to turn against the president in a time of war and cause such a furor among the grossly mislead is, in my eyes, and act of treason.
While I feel for her loss and understand her grieving, perhaps a support group would serve her better.
In today's world climate, when just about every other nation in the world would like to see us fail, we have to present a unified front among ourselves, or at least a civil one. Our enemies are looking for our weaknesses, and they have found them on the cover of every newspaper the last few weeks in the form of Cindy Sheehan.
Then, to top that off, she has made several anti-Semitic comments (the Jews instigated the war type comments), such that she has garnered the support of David Duke. Isn't that the icing on the cake?
One last point - I am not sure why the Bush administration doesn't shake her up a little. If I would demand a meeting with the president (which I have absolutely no intention of doing), and then hang out around his ranch stalking him, the secret service would, at the least, threaten arrest. Cindy Sheehan has created a public spectacle outside the president's ranch and logged threats of stalking until he meets with her. Alas, liberal press attention saves another hippie.
